Traffic & Parking Lot Expectations

Good afternoon Canyon Hills Families,
Today was the first day of school, and we can’t wait to welcome our students back to campus! Here are a few important traffic reminders to help everyone have a successful year at school:
Please allow extra time for morning/dismissal traffic and follow all traffic procedures to help keep everyone safe. Students will be dismissed from the front of the campus (Madrugada) and the back of campus (Calle San Marcos). You and your student will determine which is the best pick up and drop off location for your family.
- Direct your students to use all sidewalks and crosswalks when exiting the parking lot and/or traveling to and from campus.
- We ask that you avoid blocking traffic on Madrugada to allow for our community to be able to access the street safely.
- Parents/Guardians/Families can come early if time permits to park and wait for your student. Waiting along the curb to enter the parking lot is the only permitted way in, however, you must stay with your vehicle.
- Please consider that the first lane closest to the school must also support District transportation, and you may be asked to move your vehicle to ensure the buses can pull in to load and unload students.
- Administration will be out in the morning and afternoon to help guide traffic flow. Please understand that this requires flexibility, patience and considerations of student safety to ensure timely student pick up and drop off. Your support for our students is appreciated.
