Today is the fist day of school! Here are a few important reminders: - Cell phones and smartwatches should remain put away during the school day unless directed by a staff member. - Students will go to the bulletin board in the lunch area to find their 1st period class. First period teachers have the students schedules for the rest of their day and their lunch period. - Please allow extra time for morning traffic and follow all traffic procedures to help keep everyone safe. - No gum on campus. - Bring your fully charged Chromebook. - Bring pencils, paper, and other basic school supplies. - Don’t forget a refillable water bottle. - Be sure to know the school start and dismissal times. School starts at 9:12 AM. - Our staff will be throughout campus helping students find their classrooms and answering any questions, so there’s no need to worry if you’re unsure where to go. - Make sure to eat a healthy breakfast before coming to school.

We know that accidents can happen unexpectedly, and that’s why we’re excited to remind our families about the District’s annual Device Protection Plan! When purchased, the CVUSD Device Protection Plan covers accidental damage to student Chromebooks or Windows laptops and is designed to limit a CVUSD family’s financial liability. For a non-refundable fee of $40 per device, families can enroll in the plan for the entire 2026-2027 school year. Damaged devices not enrolled in the plan will incur a $50 incident fee per repair or replacement. Don’t wait! Families interested in enrolling can purchase coverage through August 31, 2026.

To ensure the safety of all students, staff, and families, it’s essential that pick-up and drop-off procedures are followed. Canyon Hills parking lot expectations are: Entering Parking Lot - Allow CVUSD buses the right of way at all times. - Students must exit car to the right at crosswalk. - There are three lanes to use. - No left turn into the parking lot when traveling south on Madrugada Dr. - DRIVE SLOWLY AND WITH EXTREME CAUTION! - Students walking to school must use sidewalks. Exiting Parking Lot - Students must use crosswalk to enter car. - All three lanes merge into one exit. - Cars may exit left or right out of the parking lot. - DRIVE SLOWLY AND WITH EXTREME CAUTION! - Students walking home must use sidewalks.
