Welcome back, Coyotes!  I hope you spent your summer reading!

If you want to purchase the device protection plan for your school Chromebook, please go to myschoolbucks.com to pay online or bring your $40 exact cash or check payable to CVUSD to the library no later than August 31st.  No forms or payment will be accepted after 8/31/25.   • CVUSD Device Protection Plan 2025/2026

     

    Parents now have the option of purchasing a Chino Valley Unified School District Device Protection Plan for their student's device. The plan provides for accidental damage to the student's device for the current school year at the cost of $40.00. Parents wishing to purchase the protection plan may do so by making a payment through the MySchoolBucks website. You may also complete the form below and return it to the school library with exact cash, or a check payable to CVUSD.

     

    Payments must be made by 8/31/25 for the 2025-2026 school year.

  • During the first three weeks of school, the library will be busy distributing textbooks and holding library orientation for 7th grade classes.  The library will not be open to students during this period of time.  

  • Early Release Days

    • Hours are subject to change. 
    • Temporary library closures will be posted on the library doors & read in the bulletin, whenever possible.
    • During periods of testing, the library is closed.
  • Students are welcome in the library every school day at 8:45am.  At lunch, students are welcome in after they have been released from the lunch tables.  After school, the library is open for about 15 minutes to take care of any library business. Take a look at our posted library hours for all the particulars. (And of course, you can always come by during class with a pass from your teacher.)

    While in the library, you can look for a book to check-out, read, study, do homework, quietly work on group projects, charge your Chromebook, work on a puzzle or maybe even play a game of chess.  Quiet activities are welcome as long as everyone is respectful and responsible.

  • In the library, we offer the following:

    • Study tables, reading areas
    • Chromebook help and charging area
    • Single period Chromebook loans for tests (full day loans not available)
    • Printing, black ink only. (Required school assignments only.)
    • Textbook checkout & in-library textbook use
    • Online textbook access (through ClassLink)
    • Library book checkout (2 books at a time for 2 weeks, plus 1 renewal)
      • Fiction
      • Non-fiction
      • Graphic Novels
      • Short Story Collections
    • Chess (with ID)
    • Puzzles
    • Awesome Librarian (no charge!)
    • Be Safe, Respectful and Responsible at all times.
    • No food, candy or drinks at any time. Water bottles are OK.
    • No cell phone use during class time, unless permitted by a supervising teacher.
    • Cell phones & devices must be in silent mode before and after school (or used with headphones).
    • Class time visits with teacher permission.
    • Student IDs are requested, but not required for book check-out.
    • Late library book fee: 10 cents per school day (up to $5.00 max) after the 4-day grace period.
    • Lost library book fee: Replacement cost of book shipping taxes.
    • Damaged textbook fee (varies, up to the full value of the book)
    • Lost textbook fee: replacement cost of textbook
    • (Accidental) Damaged Chromebook fee $50 without device protection plan
    • Damaged or Lost Chromebook charger cord: $50 without device protection plan
